One recent Acu-gage application includes "Depth of Cut" inspection
to assure die cutting process control.
Our customer specifies
high volume production die cut gaskets used as critical
covers for high purity chemical containers, where users
puncture the cover to access its contents. PGC die cuts
are produced partially through material made from custom
Teflon-polyethylene laminate. The cut depth is controlled
to cutting through the polyethylene layer only, and not
through the .005" thick Teflon layer.
Ron Clark, Director of Quality has completed Acu-gage training
and is on the fast track developing part inspection programs.
Performance metrics are in place for measuring machine utilization.
