Having developed a new digital cutting machine, a manufacturer was struggling with keeping the paper held down and was in desperate need of a new means for doing so. Initially they had envisioned a simple system, but it had quickly become clear that the new solution had to be very exact and accurate. It was crucial that the pieces currently being cut were held precisely in place, but equally important was a firm gripping method to keep the already worked/printed pieces in position.
Precision Gasket Company sat down with this customer and studied the problem to fully understand their exact needs, requirements, and specifications. Precision Gasket Company's knowledge of composite engineering allowed them to form a complex, two-layer assembly with one layer of soft urethane to hold the material and the other of hard polyester for proper positioning. Even more complex was that each layer was a different shape. Taking it one step further, they were then able to drill over 1789precisely located holes through both materials which allowed for proper registration, making the customer extremely satisfied.
